A hard hat and a hi-viz vest – testing a new attachment for the Unimog

Stuttgart/Gaggenau – In 1951, the Unimog was added to the Daimler-Benz portfolio and the U 25 (2010 model series) was produced at the Gaggenau plant between 1951 and 1953. Although the Unimog was initially intended for use in agriculture, it began making a name for itself in other sectors too – including in the construction industry. Over the years, various attachments have been developed by a plethora of bodybuilders. Here, you can see an implement for road-building which was developed by Alfred Schmidt in St. Blasien (today known as Aebi-Schmidt).

75 years of the Unimog – the first Unimog prototype was developed in 1946.
