MOSCOW, August 16. /TASS/. Russian exchange indexes ended the trading day on Tuesday with the upward trend. The ruble-denominated MOEX Russia Index grew by 2% to 2,208.33 points at the close of today's trade on the Moscow Exchange. The dollar-denominated RTS index added 2.62% and climbed to 1,142.05 points.

The dollar tumbled 0.32% against the ruble to 60.9 rubles. The euro edged down by 0.23% and amounted to 62.12 rubles.

Brent oil futures moved downward on the London's ICE to $94.54 per barrel (minus 1.58%).

"The European Commission allowed for the possibility for European depositories to make settlements with the Russian National Settlement Depository. Furthermore, concerns regarding the stock offer surplus from the nonresident side lowered," Alexander Bakhtin from BCS Investment World said.

The MOEX Russia Index is likely to be within 2,100-2,225 points tomorrow, BCS Investment World forecasts.
