TOKYO, August 19. /TASS/. Mitsui and Mitsubishi intend to notify the Russian side about their desire to keep their stakes in the Sakhalin-2 oil and gas project under the new operator, Kyodo news agency said on Friday, citing sources.

The management of companies is currently coordinating their efforts with the Japanese government. Prospects of stable oil deliveries of Russian LNG to Japan are becoming more clear now, Kyodo said.
