Rosoboronexport plans to sign contracts worth more than $14.5 billion

Russia's Rosoboronexport state arms seller (part of the Rostec state hi-tech corporation) signed several export contracts and also laid groundwork for signing contract documents worth over $14.5 billion at the Army 2022 international military-technical forum, Company CEO Alexander Mikheyev said.

"We held more than 70 negotiations, during which we discussed various issues of military-technical cooperation with representatives of 30 partner countries. We signed several export contracts and also laid groundwork for signing contract documents worth more than $14.5 billion," Mikheyev said.

The CEO also told about Russian-made products that had attracted keen interest of partner countries.

"The company held presentations of about 350 items of Russian-made military hardware for the delegations of partner countries that arrived at the forum. Keen interest was shown in the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter jet, the T-14 Armata tank, the Kamov Ka-52E combat helicopter, the Tor-E2 air defense missile system, the Kornet-E antitank missile system, the K-17 Bumerang infantry fighting vehicle," Mikheyev added.

During the business program of the Army 2022 forum, Rosoboronexport received more than 70 delegations from 50 countries. More than 200 products of Russian defense enterprises were displayed at six sites of the company.

During the forum, Rosoboronexport signed programs for joint promotion of products and services to the foreign market with leading Russian defense enterprises, as well as a cooperation agreement with VTB Bank.

Also, Rosoboronexport inked two contracts worth more than $390 million at the Army 2022 forum, the Defense Ministry's press office said.

According to the press office, the Russian Defense Ministry signed 36 state contracts worth more than 525 billion rubles ($8.8 billion) with 24 defense enterprises. As a result of these contracts, Russia's Armed Forces will receive over 3,700 new military hardware items and over 100 pieces of repaired and upgraded special and military hardware.
