MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Russia lowered natural gas production in January - July 2022 by 8.8% against the like period of the last year to 351 bln cubic meters, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Wednesday.

Gas production in July contracted by 24.5% annually and by 6.9% monthly to 36.5 bln cubic meters.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) production totaled 19.1 mln tonnes in the reporting period, up 9.6% against the like period in 2021. LNG production in July 2022 stood at 2.3 mln tonnes, up 25% in annual terms and down 7% monthly.

Associated petroleum gas production scaled up by 3.2% to 58.8 bln cubic meters in January - July of this year.
