Russian Navy team ranks second in Depth competition in Iran

MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS-DEFENSE/. The Russian Navy's team ranks second at the international stage of the Depth diving competition of the International Army Games 2022, which was held on the coast of the Gulf of Oman in Iran, the Games' press office said.

"The Russian Navy's team of divers participating in the Depth international diving competition has set two records," the press office said.

The Iranian team has scored a victory at the Depth contest, with 5,595.9 out of 6,000 possible points. The second and third places were given to the Russian and Chinese divers, with 4,140.4 and 4,008.9 points, respectively.

During the competition, which started on August 13, divers from Venezuela, India, Iran, China, Russia and Syria competed in the exercises "Rescue on Water and First Medical Aid Provision," "Weight Scale," "Disabled Submarine Survival," "Surface Ship Assistance," "Flange," and "Tug of War."

The Depth competition has been held within the framework of the International Army Games in Iran for the fourth time.
