MOSCOW, September 7. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Fighter jets of Russia's Aerospace Forces and air defense have destroyed a Ukrainian MiG-29 plane in Kharkov region and shot down a Su-25 plane in Nikolayev region, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.

"Russia's fighter planes and air defense systems have destroyed Ukraine's MiG-29 in the area of Tokarevo, Kherson region and a Sukhoi-25 in the area of Komsomolskoye in Nikolayev region," he said.

The Russian forces destroyed ammunition production line for Ukrainian Olkha multiple launch rocket systems near Konstantinovka.

"The aviation, missile forces and artillery continue strikes on military objects on the Ukrainian territory. […] Missile production shops for Ukrainian Olkha multiple launch rocket systems were destroyed near the settlement of Konstantinovka, Donetsk People's Republic," he said.

According to the general, Russian forces also destroyed three rocket and ammunition depots near settlements of Liman (Kharkov region), Gulyaypole (Zaporozhye region) and Ocheretino, DPR, as well as a US-made anti-artillery radar near the settlement of Zelenodolsk, Dnepropetrovsk Region.

Russian forces have liberated the community of Kodema in the Donetsk People's Republic as a result of successful offensive, the spokesman said.

No Ukrainian offensive has been reported over the past day in the Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction due to heavy losses.

According to Konashenkov, Russia's Aerospace Forces as well as missile and artillery troops continued to deliver high-precision strikes on Ukrainian units and reserve formations in this direction.

The Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed an ammunition depot of the 406th Ukrainian artillery brigade near the village of Peremoga in Nikolayev region, Konashenkov said.

Russia's army has destroyed up to 40 troops from Ukraine's 113th territorial defense brigade in Kharkov region.

"Concentrated fire strikes on the combat positions of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade in the area of Prishib, Yavorskoye and Andreyevka of Kharkov region have destroyed up to 40 Ukrainian troops and left more than 80 others wounded," Konashenkov said.

Personnel of Ukrainian 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade in Kherson and Nikolayev regions voluntarily abandoned positions due to heavy casualties, he said.

Ukraine lost in the Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction over the past 24 hours four tanks, six infantry combat vehicles and five other armored vehicles as well as two pickups with heavy machineguns and more than 150 servicemen killed," he said at a briefing.

Russian forces delivered pinpoint strikes on a temporary deployment point of the Kraken nationalist formation near Kharkov, killing up to 30 nationalists and destroying ten motor vehicles.

The Russian armed forces destroyed a fuel depot for Ukrainian military vehicles near Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region, with precision air-based weapons.

"A fuel depot with capacity of over 5,500 tons for Ukrainian military vehicles near Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region, was destroyed by precision air-based weapons," Konashenkov noted.

Russian troops hit with precision strikes the command post of the 24th Ukrainian mechanized brigade near Nikolayev, as well as the positions of two more enemy brigades in Nikolayev and Kherson regions.

"Precision strikes hit the command post of the 24th mechanized brigade near Olenovka in Nikolayev region, the manpower and military equipment of the 46th airmobile brigade near the settlements of Belogorka, Sukhoy Stavok and Andreyevka in Kherson region, as well as the 61st infantry brigade near Visunsk and Yavkino in Nikolayev region," he said.

Ukrainian forces fired 16 shells at Energodar in the past 24 hours; a hit at transformer substation left the city without electricity.

According to Konashenkov, the Kiev regime continues provocations at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, aiming to create a threat of manmade disaster despite the presence of IAEA representatives there.

"Three artillery strikes at the city of Energodar were registered today: a total of 16 shells were fired from settlements of Ilyinka and Marganets, located on the opposite bank of the Kakhovka Reservoir," Konashenkov said.

He specified that one shell hit a transformer substation, leaving the city without electricity.

"Response fire by Russian artillery suppressed enemy firing positions. Radiation levels at the nuclear power plant are normal," he added.

Russian aviation and artillery hit six Ukrainian command posts near settlements of Chuguyev, Dergachi and Prishib (Kharkov Region), Artyomovsk, Soledar and Kurakhovo (DPR), as well as 47 artillery units, Ukrainian military personnel and vehicles in 143 districts.

Russian air defense systems downed 8 Ukrainian drones, intercepted 20 HIMARS and Olkha rockets, as well as one Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, Ukrainian forces lost: 292 planes, 152 helicopters, 1,897 drones, 373 missile air defense systems, 4,855 tanks and other armored vehicles, 825 multiple launch rocket systems, 3,369 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 5,360 special military automobiles.
