  • Bulgaria intends to take on at least €3 billion of government debt by the end of the year, of which €2 billion will come from the international markets.
  • If this happens, the budget deficit of the country trying to adopt the euro by 2024 will reach nearly 7% of the country’s gross domestic product.
  • Currently, the country’s fiscal reserve is low, and the government must finance a budget deficit of at least €3.1 billion this year.
