BEIJING, September 20. /TASS/. Russia's supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China exceeded 670,000 tonnes in August, reaching the highest level since October 2020. This is according to data published on Tuesday by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.

According to the administration, in August China imported 671,110 tonnes of LNG from Russia for a total of $751.03 million. This figure increased by 65.48% compared to July and by 36.73% compared to August 2021.

In total, since the beginning of the year, Russia has exported 3.42 million tonnes of LNG to China for a total of $3.2 billion.

According to official data, in 2021, LNG supplies from Russia to China amounted to 4.51 million tonnes.
