  • Slovak children may not need to go to school on Fridays, while state workers could have to start working from home on Mondays and Fridays if the environment ministry’s proposal to save energy is adopted by the government this week.
  • Other proposals include curbing or banning the use of hot water, as well as lowering the temperatures in buildings or shortening the heating season.
  • Other proposals that are easier to achieve include banning the use of household appliances in offices that are not needed for the job.
