MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. The dollar exchange rate dropped below 59 rubles during Thursday trading on Moscow Exchange for the first time since August 19, while the euro exchange rate fell below 58 rubles first since July 25, according to trading data.

As of 3:05 pm Moscow time the dollar exchange rate was down by 2.86% at 58.95 rubles. The euro was down by 3.62% at 57.97 rubles as of 3:02 pm.

As of 3:25 pm the dollar exchange rate was down by 2.49% at 59.17 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was down by 2.93% at 58.38 rubles.

The MOEX Index was up by 2.89% at 2,192.32 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS was up by 5.74% at 1,170.4 points as of 3:25 pm Moscow time.
