ANKARA, September 27. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Turkey may buy Russian Su-35 fighter jets if the United States refuses to sell F-16 to it, Turkish Undersecretary for Defense Industries Ismail Demir told CNN Turk.

"Turkey has alternatives. If the deal to sell F-16 to Turkey fails, various alternatives will be on the table, including S-35," he said.

The United States punished Turkey for acquiring Russian S-400 air defense launchers by excluding it from the program to create fifth-generation F-35 bombers.
