- French President Emmanuel Macron was urged by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to fulfil his commitments to energy network connections between the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of the EU, including a future Midcat pipeline.
- The Spanish prime minister recalled that “in July 2018 Emmanuel Macron made a public commitment in writing to boost the expansion of the electricity and energy grid”.
