MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. The Russian stock market ended the Thursday's trading session in the red.
The MOEX Russia Index lost 0.46% to 2,020.63 points. The RTS Index tumbled 1.61% to 1,044.82 points.
The dollar gained 0.73% to close at 60.9 rubles. The euro added 0.69% to reach 59.09 rubles.
"Reports on approval of the eighth package of anti-Russian sanctions in the EU applied pressure on traders but were expected, so there were no active sales. Russian stocks received some support from the weakening ruble and the upward move of oil prices," Alexander Bakhtin from BCS Investment World said in a comment.
According to estimates of BCS Investment World, the MOEX Russia Index will be within 1,970-2,070 points this Friday.
