Dutch FM to co-chair global climate response fiscal policymakers club

  • Finance Minister Sigrid Kaag will co-chair the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action (CFMCA) from 1 April 2023, the Coalition announced on Wednesday (12 October).
  • Kaag was appointed finance minister and deputy prime minister in the fourth Rutte government on 10 January 2022 and is a member of the Democrats 66 party.
  • Kaag aims to work with her co-chair, Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, to boost the influence of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action and involve more countries in the platform’s work for the next two years.
