- A ban on evictions between November and the end of March 2023 was approved by the Irish government on Tuesday.
- Under the proposal’s terms, landlords will not be able to issue tenants with eviction notices during the period in which it is in effect.
- Once the ban is lifted on 1 April 2023, the enforcement of termination notices that are handed out while it is in place will be staggered to avoid a rush of evictions.
