Euro adoption will have minimal impact on inflation, says central bank governor

  • The introduction of the euro in Croatia next January should not contribute a lot to already high inflation, caused primarily by rising energy and food prices, central bank Governor Boris Vujčić said on Wednesday.
  • EU finance ministers formally approved Croatia in July as the 20th member of the single currency area from 1 January.
