- Finnish company Nokian Tyres announced plans to build a new passenger car tire factory in Romania on Tuesday, four days after the company sold its operations in Russia for €400 million.
- Until recently, some 80% of the company’s passenger car tires were produced in Russia, where Nokian Tyres launched a factory in 2005.
- The location of a new factory in Oradea in the North-West of Romania, near the Hungarian border, was found after evaluating some 40 sites.
