Rosatom, Bolivia agree to cooperate in lithium industry

MOSCOW, July 11 (TASS) - The Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom and the Ministry of Energy of Bolivia inked a memorandum on cooperation in development of industrial and research projects in the lithium industry, the Russian company said on Thursday.

Rosatom and the Bolivian Ministry of Energy are going to examine opportunities for joint work on exploration and development lithium fields, exchange of information and research in the sphere of mining and production of lithium and making lithium products.

“The memorandum confirms interest of the parties to cooperate in development of lithium industry,” Rosatom said.

The document was signed within the framework of the official visit of Bolivian President Evo Morales to Russia.
