In preparations for COP 25, CMP 15 and CMA 2, the secretariat completed its third mission to Santiago, Chile. The mission took place from 29-31 July 2019, where both substantive and procedural matters were discussed.

Owing to the Government of Chile's organization of events for Heads of State and Government (HoS/G) on Sunday, 1 December 2019, the dates of the preparatory meetings of groups have been advanced to allow all delegations to be able to support their HoS/G. The dates of the specific preparatory meetings are as follows:
