* Fondation PSA and the Louvre Petite Galerie : a 5-year disruptive partnership

« Every year, we are pleased to collaborate with the Louvre to go further and further in the territories and to enable everyone to discover the marvelous works of art of the museum. This new exhibition will travel through the Carolomacérians’ workplaces and living areas and more broadly, in all places where those who are far from the major centers of art and culture live. Thus, after the Charleville factory, the exhibition will continue its journey across France in search of new audiences at the University of Reims Champagne Ardennes, the Astrolabe de Melun etc." says Karine Hillaireau, General Delegate of the PSA Foundation.

“Dedicating a specific area to artistic and cultural education in the heart of the palace, the Louvre museum is true to the intention of its founders: create a museum open to all since 1793. The travelling “Petite Galerie”, which exits the walls of the Louvre Palace to meet all the audiences, is in line with this founding mission. Thanks to Fondation PSA, the travelling “Petite Galerie” is set up every year in the heart of a factory, allowing the daily evasion by art, at the workplace of Groupe PSA employees ", underlines Jean-Luc Martinez, Chairman and Director of the Louvre museum.

Since 2015, Fondation PSA has collaborate with the Louvre Museum to promote access to art and culture for all. This year, the employees of the PSA factory in Charleville-Mézières will host the new exhibition at the Petite Galerie on the theme, "Advent of the Atist”.

This exhibition brings together reproductions and paintings, bearing witness to the diversity and richness of the Louvre's collections. Visitors will be able to admire these works during sessions led by a museum mediator to make this a moment of pleasure, a convivial moment to give the keys to understanding and discovering these works of art.

As a partner of the Petite Galerie for five years now, Fondation PSA is particularly pleased to support the growing success of this innovative project, which seeks to make art and culture accessible to the greatest number of people.

The PSA Group's plants in Saint-Ouen in 2016, in Poissy in 2017 and 2018, and in Rennes in 2019 hosted this exhibition. At each stage, the museum's teams accompany the exhibition.

With this new itinerary, which begins in Charleville-Mézières, the objective is also to bring the public to the museums of the Region, and in particular to the Rimbaud Museum, with which the Louvre museum is collaborating.
