FRANKFURT, Sep. 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 6.05 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 13,202.84 points.
Deutsche Bank lost 2.29 percent, making it the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive supplier Continental and energy group E.ON, which lost 1.60 percent and 1.10 percent respectively.
The top gainer was Deutsche Boerse group, a marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities, which gained 1.76 percent. Pharmaceutical company Merck and material manufacturer Covestro advanced 1.50 percent and 1.13 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 211.09 million euros (250.23 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 1.06 percent to close at 0.713 euros per share on Friday.
