German shares gain 0.69 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 91.14 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 13,382.30 points.

Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.26 percent. Automotive supplier Continental and reinsurance company Munich Re gained by 4.07 percent and 3.81 percent respectively.

Housing association Deutsche Wohnen, European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero and housing association Vonovia were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.31 percent, 1.75 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 338.20 million euros (404.76 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.75 percent to close at 1.002 euros per share on Tuesday.
