  • The MG Magnette ZA was one of the finest British sports saloons of the 1950s, one that belonged in a realm of club blazers, flat hats and the Goodwood Motor Circuit paddock.
  • The MG factory at Abingdon occasionally resorted to The Terry-Thomas School of Advertising: “While he’s purring over its sporting pedigree, we suggest his wife takes a good look at the MG Magnette inside and out”.
  • As The Motor put it, the Magnette was “a very good example indeed of an extremely British type of car”.
