MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Gas production by Novatek in January-September 2022 increased by 2.9% to 60.8 bln cubic meters (bcm). At the same time, the total volume of sales of natural gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), in the Q3 of 2022 decreased by 2.3% to 16.19 bcm, the company said on Wednesday.
"In the third quarter 2022, preliminary total natural gas sales volumes, including volumes of LNG sold, aggregated 16.19 bcm, representing a decrease of 2.3% as compared with the corresponding volumes in the third quarter 2021. The natural gas volumes sold in the Russian Federation were 14.26 bcm, representing a decrease of 4.1% as compared with the prior year period, whereas LNG volumes sold on international markets amounted to 1.93 bcm, representing an increase of 12.9%," the company said.
In the Q3 2022, NOVATEK's hydrocarbon production totaled 155.6 mln barrels of oil equivalent (boe), including 19.94 bcm of natural gas and 3.0 mln tons of liquids (gas condensate and crude oil), "resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons produced by 6.1 mln boe, or by 4.0% as compared with the third quarter 2021".
Novatek is Russia's largest independent natural gas producer. The company conducts exploration, production and processing of gas and liquid hydrocarbons.
