MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Novatek estimates the shortage of liquefied natural gas (LNG) worldwide at 60-70 mln metric tons in coming years, CEO Leonid Mikhelson said at the Russian Energy Week.

"We estimate the LNG deficit to be 60-70 mln metric tons in coming years. We see projects that will be implemented in 2023-2025 - they are far from closing such shortage," the top manager said.

The demand for LNG has increased by 67% this year in Europe alone, Mikhelson noted.
