MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. Gazprom supplied 8.9 bln cubic meters of natural gas to Hungary year-to-date, which is 17% more than throughout 2018, press service of the Russian gas holding reports on Wednesday.
In 2018, Gazprom delivered 7.6 bln cubic meters to Hungary, up 9.3% in annual terms.
A working meeting of Gazprom's Chief Executive Officer Alexei Miller and Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto took place in Moscow on October 16. The parties discussed interaction in the energy sphere at the meeting.
Particular attention was paid to development of the Hungarian gas transmission system.
Hungary and Russia negotiated extra deliveries of Russian gas totaling 2 bln cubic meters in 2019 and 2 bln cubic meters more via Austria in 2020 this June, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
