MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Gazprom Neft has begun active development of the oil rim of the Chayanda oil and gas condensate field (republic of Yakutia, Eastern Siberia), the commercial oil inflow of the first well exceeded 150 tonnes per day, the company announced on Wednesday.
In the future, the company plans to produce up to 3 mln tonnes of oil equivalent per year at this field, the company added.
The company is developing the oil rim of the field under an operator agreement with Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk (a subsidiary of Gazprom, which holds the license for the field), which is developing the gas part of the asset.
Full-scale development of the oil rim of the Chayanda oil and gas condensate field will begin in 2020.
Chayanda and Kovykta gas fields with reserves of 1.2 trillion and 2.7 trillion cubic meters of gas respectively are the resource base for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. Development of the Chayanda's gas pool started in 2015. The design production on the field is planned as 25 bln cubic meters of gas annually. Production on the Kovykta field will start after 2022. Its production will also be 25 bln cubic meters of gas per year.
