MOSCOW, January 17. /TASS/. Starting in the Q2 of this year, Novatek plans to increase gas supplies from the Severo-Russkoye field to the gas transmission system of Gazprom 4-fold to 20 mln cubic meters per day, according to Gazprom subsidiary of Gazprom Transgaz Surgut.
Pilot operation of the Severo-Russian field with an annual design level of production of 5.7 bln cubic meters of natural gas and 700,000 tonnes of gas condensate began in December 2019. Gas from the field began to flow into the Gazprom Transgaz Surgut gas transmission system via the Zapolyarnoye - Urengoy gas trunkline.
"At the first stage, the volume of transportation of fuel from the Severo-Russkoye field will be 5 mln cubic meters per day (these volumes have already begun to be delivered to the gas pipeline), and from the Q2 of 2020 it will increase to 20 mln cubic meters per day," the report said.
The Severo-Russkoye field is located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. The license for exploration and development of the field is owned by Novatek-Tarkosaleneftegaz. As of December 31, 2018, the total reserves under the Russian classification amounted to about 104 bln cubic meters of natural gas and 6.5 mln tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons.
