BELGRADE, September 14. /TASS/. The next session of the Russian-Serbian intergovernmental committee on trade, economic and scientific-technical cooperation will take place in Serbia on October 6-7, the Russian Embassy in Serbia told reporters at a briefing.
"The intergovernmental committee's session is due on October 6-7, with Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov as Russia's co-chairman and minister [in charge of innovation and technology] Nenad Popovic as Serbia's co-chairman," the embassy stated.
The previous gathering between the top officials took place in the Serbian capital on February 15. Moscow and Belgrade had developed a draft strategic program on economic cooperation to be signed.
Inked on October 25, 2019, the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) entered into force on July 10. Serbia mainly exports metals (steel and copper), high technology, machinery and equipment, agricultural products, foodstuffs, petrochemicals, electricity, and medicines to other countries.
