MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Investments of Hevel into expansion of the range of solar energy components and higher localization level of equipment manufactured in Russia is estimated at 15 bln rubles ($208.6 mln) subject to extension of the renewable energy sources (RES) development support program, Chief Executive of the Russian RES company Igor Shakhrai said on Friday at the TASS online press conference.
"We expect investments into production and R&D in the solar energy sector under the new program will be about 15 bln rubles ($208.6 mln)," the top manager said. Huge investments into scientific research are needed to enter large markets like Europe," he added.
Hevel supports the position of the Russian Ministry of Industry on intensification of localization and is ready to invest into production facilities for specialized solar energy components not manufactured in the country before, Shakhrai said. Among them are plates, high-performance modules, glass, film and other auxiliary products for solar energy.
