  • Offshore Wind Energy is a technology that just a decade ago was struggling to establish long term viability, even as Onshore wind energy was making giant strides.
  • Located 20 kms off the Kent coast in the United Kingdom, the farm was the largest offshore wind farm in the world for cover 5 years until the Walney Extension reached full production in September 2018.
  • Managed by Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd (BOWL), which is JV between SSE Renewables (40 percent), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (35 percent) and Red Rock Power Limited (25 percent), the project will generate enough electricity to deliver clean, renewable power to over 450,000 homes per year.
