LONGi to Supply 600 MW Modules for JV With Engie

  • Xi’an-headquartered major solar PV manufacturer LONGi recently announced the signing of a framework agreement with Engie Solar (Engie Group), a French multinational electric utility company.
  • In March this year, LONGi incorporated a business unit to explore green hydrogen production on account of the latter’s increasing influence in the clean energy market.
  • Engie recently presented a comprehensive plan at the Presidential Palace of Chile for its operations in the country, including the development of 2 GW of renewable energy capacity and the end of its 1.5 GW of coal-fired power generation activities by 2025, both of which are part of the firm’s ambition to achieve carbon neutrality latest by 2050.
