MOSCOW, January 17. / TASS /. Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov introduced three new positions on January 16 of his deputies as part of the reorganization of the company structure, one of the orders will oversee the issues of ecology and the climate agenda, the company said in a statement on Friday.
For example, since January 20, 2020, the post of Deputy Director for Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety and Ecology has been introduced. Azat Habibrahmanov, who previously worked as the chief of the oil and gas management (NGDU) Elkhovneft, was appointed to the position. As the company explained to TASS, Habibrahmanov will also oversee the company's policy on climate. The order also introduces the post of Deputy Director General for Logistics and Technical Development, and will be replaced by Renat Nugaybekov, who previously worked as the Chief of the Almetyevneft NGSU. The order also reformed the post of Deputy Director-General for Social Development, held by Rustam Muhammadev. Previously, his area of responsibility included supply and transport, now he will only oversee social development.
Currently, the environment and climate issues at the company are overseen by an independent board member Laszlo Gerech. Earlier, Maganov said in an interview with TASS that the company is working on projects to reduce the "carbon footprint", and in the future will consider the diversification and production of "green energy".
