New ‘remote’ flare stack monitoring to reduce harmful emissions

  • The Climate and Air Quality Research Department from the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) said Monday it had developed a “smokeless monitoring system.”
  • Until NIER’s latest breakthrough, monitoring flares has been inefficient.
