MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Climate preservation issues must be solved along with development of economic sectors, the energy one in the first instance, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week forum.
"The recent global situation shows that climate preservation matters must be solved being closely linked to development plans of economic sectors, the energy sector in the first instance," the head of state said.
"According to forecasts of experts, the share of hydrocarbons in the global energy balance can drop from 80-85% at present to 60-65% over 25 years, and the role of oil and coal will go down at the same time. My Russian colleagues sitting in the hall pretty well know, understand and assume that - while the role of natural gas as the most eco-friendly, transitional kind of fuel will grow, including production of liquefied gas as the case in point," Putin added.
