ST. PETERSBURG, June 17. /TASS/. Russia needs to achieve the real technological sovereignty and create a holistic system of economic development, President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.
"We will develop clean technologies, to achieve established goals on environmental upgrade of plants, reduce noxious emissions, especially in major industrial centers. We will also continue efforts within the framework of the project of the circular economy, green projects and climate preservation, as I detailed here, on the Forum floor, as early as in the last year. In this regard, from my point of view, the end-to-end development principle consolidating our efforts is to achieve the real technological sovereignty, create the holistic system of economic development, which does not depend on foreign institutions in terms of critical components," the President said.
Russia needs to build all spheres of life on a qualitatively new technology level and at the same time to have technological keys to creation of goods and services of new generation and not merely to be the user of others' solutions, Putin stressed.
