SCO considers it unacceptable to use climate agenda to impose restrictions – declaration

SAMARKAND, September 16. /TASS/. The countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are convinced that it is unacceptable to use the climate agenda to introduce measures that limit trade cooperation. This is according to Declaration of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) adopted on Friday in Samarkand.

"Member States are convinced of inadmissibility of using the climate agenda to introduce measures that limit trade and investment cooperation. Efforts will be made to establish an active dialogue with relevant international institutions in order to attract investment and finance joint projects and programs in the field of environmental protection and the introduction of new environmentally friendly clean technologies, increasing the share of the green economy," the document says.
