- The office of Prime Minister Yair Lapid said Oct. 27 that he will attend the COP27 climate change conference that will take place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Nov. 6-18.
- It will be the first time Israel sets up a national pavilion for the event, and the first Israeli pavilion on Egyptian soil since a 1985 business conference in Cairo.
- The Central Elections Committee is obliged by law to present official results to the president a week after election day at the latest, so this might coincide with Lapid traveling to Egypt.
