Johnson backs Cummings amid calls to quit over coronavirus travel

  • British prime minister Boris Johnson has given his full support to his senior adviser Dominic Cummings after he travelled 420km to northern England while his wife showed Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Fellow senior Cabinet colleagues health secretary Matt Hancock, foreign secretary Dominic Raab and chancellor Rishi Sunak also weighed in to defend the aide.
