MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. More than 40 British nationals have been sent by a special Aeroflot flight from Moscow to London, the United Kingdom's Ambassador to Moscow Deborah Bronnert wrote on her Twitter page.

The ambassador thanked the Embassy's team for assistance in bringing Britons back home. "Brits in Russia who need advice about getting home, please contact us on Russia," she wrote.

On March 18, Russia shut down its borders for all foreigners to curb the spread of coronavirus. Furthermore, international passenger air travel was fully suspended on March 27. In light of these developments, Russian citizens who found themselves stuck abroad and foreigners staying in Russia can return home by specially organized flights.
