MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey have discussed the possibility of resuming tourist activities, the Kremlin press service said in a statement following a telephone conversation between the two leaders on Monday.
"The parties exchanged views on specific bilateral issues, including the prospects for resuming tourism exchanges as the sanitary situation improves," the statement reads.
The Kremlin press service added that Putin had thanked Turkey for its readiness to provide assistance to a number of Russian regions in combating the coronavirus.
The Turkish president, who initiated the phone call, congratulated his Russian counterpart on successfully organizing a nationwide vote on constitutional amendments. "The heads of state agreed to maintain dialogue, particularly at the highest level," the statement adds.
