MOSCOW, September 28./TASS/. The existing tests for coronavirus are accurate enough, and there are no reasons not to trust them, the head of Russia's sanitary watchdog, Anna Popova, said on Monday.
"Mass tests are quite reliable, they don't make mistakes. The tests are of high quality, and there is no reason today not to trust them," Popova, who heads the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, said in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station.
She noted, however, that another test kit could be used if necessary. "As of now, we have over 500 different labs making tests. We have the right to a spot audit, and we have practically no research labs left that would have an error margin over 5-7%, which is a permissible level," she said.
