- The EU-approved COVID-19 vaccine Nuvaxovid should not be administered to people aged 30, and below due to increased health risks posed by it, the Swedish Public Health Agency announced this week.
- It decided, for the time being, to completely put a stop to AstraZeneca even though the European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended reinstating the vaccine for those aged above 65 since side effects like blood clots combined with low platelet levels or bleeding were only found in people below 65.
- Since the start of 2022, the agency has recommended the Moderna vaccine is not used on people below 30.
