Volvo Cars has for the fourth year in a row received the highest rating for its sustainability performance from EcoVadis, a leading provider of corporate sustainability assessments, further reaffirming its position as one of the most sustainability-minded companies in the car industry.

Volvo Cars today reported an all-time high revenue and profitability for the full year 2021.

With its next generation of pure electric cars, Volvo Cars aims to offer customers a longer range, quicker charging and lower costs, and reach new milestones in automotive safety and sustainability.

Volvo Cars and Northvolt have selected Gothenburg, Sweden to establish a new battery manufacturing plant which will commence operations in 2025, create up to 3,000 jobs and complement the planned R&D centre that both companies announced in December as part of an investment of approximately SEK 30 billion.

This is reflected in its ambition to become a fully electric car maker by 2030 and in its commitment to an ongoing reduction of its carbon footprint.

Volvo Cars reports sales of 47, 561 cars in January, a decline by 20.2 per cent compared with the same month last year.

Volvo Cars will publish its fourth quarter 2021 financial results on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 07:00 CET.

Volvo Cars global sales grew by 5.6 per cent per cent to 698,693 cars in the full year 2021, demonstrating resilience in the face of persistent supply constraints.

By pairing their Volvo car with their Google account, customers can directly talk to Google in their car and remotely control a variety of functionalities, such as warming it up on a cold winter day or locking the car.
