U.S. Natural Gas Rig Count Steady as Activity Slows in Oil Patch

  • The U.S. natural gas rig count finished flat at 193 for the week ended Friday (March 15), while the oil patch saw a small drop in activity.
  • Canada’s rig count fell sharply for the week, dropping 28 units overall, including 20 oil-directed and eight gas-directed.
  • Among plays, the biggest change occurred in the Cana Woodford of Oklahoma, where five units departed on the week, putting the play at 53 active rigs, down from its year-ago tally of 64.

  • The Spirit of Vancouver Island ferry entered Remontowa on October 15, 2018.
  • Currently, the ship’s engine room is dual fuel, adapted to be fed both with low-sulfur diesel oil and natural gas (stored as LNG) as the main fuel.
