  • THE Philippines government has made a new law to alleviate the negative effects of deforestation and foster a green culture among the country’s youth.
  • The Graduation Legacy for the Environment Act requires all students from primary school to college to plant at least 10 trees before they graduate.
  • With 17.5 million students graduating each year it will ensure at least 175 million new trees per year.
