  • The Commonwealth government has reaffirmed that farmland part-owned by MP Angus Taylor was sprayed with herbicide destroying a critically endangered grassland.
  • The department has sought a remediation determination that will “mitigate the damage that has been caused to the ecological community”.
  • Richard Taylor estimated it would cost more than $300,000 to challenge the case in the Federal Court and which could see the landholders apply to the Australian Farmers Fighting Fund, a legal fund managed by the National Farmers Federation.
