5.4-magnitude earthquake hits Iran’s southeastern region

TEHRAN, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit Faryab region in Iran's southeastern Kerman province at 11:10 a.m. local time (0640 GMT) on Friday, according to Iran's Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at the depth of 14 km, 28.302 degrees north latitude and 57.299 degrees east longitude.

No immediate reports are available about the possible casualties or injuries.
