TEHRAN, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Tuesday denied foreign reports of an explosion at a nuclear site in central Iran, official IRNA news agency reported.
In a statement, the AEOI's public relations office dismissed the reports about explosion in Shahid Rezaei Nejad nuclear complex in the central province of Yazd as "false news and rumors."
The reports are Israel's "propaganda" to "promote disappointment and are in line with U.S. pressures on Iranians," said the AEOI statement.
The satellite images published by some media are not related to Shahid Rezaei Nejad nuclear site, the statement noted.
On July 2, Iran said a fire at the country's Natanz nuclear facility caused no damage to the establishment but affected a structure housing stock items.
